evo Times Infinity Gallery Presents: Shepard Fairey (Obey)

If you've ever been to The War Room in Capitol Hill, then you're more than familiar with the artwork of Shepard Fairey. Or, if you've never been to the venue, then you're sure to have seen the recognizable "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" sticker campaign turned Obey Giant. Tomorrow night, before you hit that annual spot that you may be viewing one of several fireworks in the city and outside of it, hit up the timesinfinity art gallery at evo in Fremont.

What: Obey Giant Shepard Fairey Signed & Numbered Original Prints

In support of SOS Outreach and Fremont First Fridays Art Walk, the timesinfinity gallery at evo will play host to a collection of over 50 original Obey Giant Shepard Fairey prints guaranteed to spark dialogue and emotion. SOS is a national snowsports youth charity that partners with many organizations including ski resorts like the Summit at Snoqualmie, to create a mountain adventure-based program for underserved youth.

Come down before the fireworks for some drinks, art and conversation!

Where: evo Seattle - 122 NW 36th St. Seattle, WA 98107

When: Friday, July 4th from 7 to 9:30pm (if you can't make it, we're hosting another SOS fundraising party on July 19th)

*Because this is part of a private collection, art pieces will not be for sale nor will Shepard Fairey be in attendance.

*For more information about the SOS Outreach event and how to find out how you can donate please visit SOSoutreach.org

Snoop Dogg and Hot Doggs @ evo

Don't have tickets to the Snoop show? Well, if you're gonna buy an article of clothing anytime soon, then drop by evo and you'll have your name entered in a drawing for a pair of tickets to the show with any purchase.

Snoop Dogg is stopping at the Showbox June 18th as part of his West Fest tour. Swing by evo now through Friday, June 14 and we'll enter your name in the drawing for a pair of tickets when you purchase anything in the store. We initially tossed around the idea of a Gin and Juice drinking contest, but in the end had to throw it out. Things would have gotten messy.

Almost as exciting as the concert itself, is the Dog & Dogg BBQ we're putting on this Saturday, June 14th, from 3-5. Snoop Dogg won't be there, but we'll be cooking up hot dogs all afternoon and will be announcing the winner of the tickets. You don't have to be there in order to win, but it would be way more fun if you were. Just imagine if the Doggfather really were at our BBQ, standing at the grill in a fur coat or his crisp, all-white suit, next to our shop manager Chris, in his "Kiss the Cook" apron. Maybe he'd even let Chris call him Calvin...

See you there! Fo rizzle!

Evo, Kanye West & Pharrell Williams

So, a lot of sh!t is goin down today. Traffic is gonna be hellish, and there's already been sightings of Kanye West and Pharrell Williams who are in town for the Glow in The Dark Tour which I'll be headed out for earrly! In addition, the Mexico vs. China futbol (soccer) game is gonna be played at Qwest Field tonight. I can only imagine how many of the cool kids in the town will be rockin the Kanye shutter shades. I'll try and keep a mental count and report back tomorrow.

On to the sightings! Kanye was shopping at American Apparel and I'm guessing he was at the Capitol Hill location while Pharrell Williams was gettin his eat on at BOKA on 1st Avenue.

With that said, there's a little something for those who aren't goin to any of the aforementioned events tonight. Evo is having a crazy sale in Fremont. Based on the wording, sounds like there's no tax as to "keep it simple" as they say. Do not fret though, for those who aren't able to make it, the sale lasts 'til Sunday!

We like to keep it simple. This sale is no exception with flat rate pricing on sale clothing in our gallery. All sale jeans are $20. All t-shirts are $5. It couldn’t be simpler. Sale starts today and ends this Sunday 4/20. Last Saturday we thought spring was officially here and this week reminded us we shouldn’t get too excited for sunny weather. Cover all your bases at the evo flat rate clothing sale. Adidas, WESC, Billabong, Fallen, Creative Recre8tion, Ezekiel, Lifetime Collective, Artful Dodger and tons more!

Russ Pope Gallery Event

Russ Pope to art show at evo's Times Infinity Gallery Space. Click on the flyer above to read more info.

[evo Seattle]

Yo yo yo!

Sunday night is “the night” this month to come check out some rad art, drink some beers, and hang out with the evo crew. Russ’s paintings are a collision of motion and color. In Orange County, his favorite part of life is being outside with his family and spending late, lonely nights in his dirty, junk-filled studio painting to new wave, old punk , and even older blues and jazz. Art keeps Russ sane while juggling work in the skateboard industry, an overly active family, and gallery show deadlines. His inspiration comes from music, books, everyday people, architecture and his childrens’ artwork. Their art reminds him to create without concern for outside opinion or gallery walls.

Russ has shown his work both domestically and internationally in: San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, San Jose, San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago, New York, Brooklyn, Miami, Austin, Washington DC, Denver, Los Angeles, Portland, Vancouver, Whistler, Hawaii, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, and Japan.

See you on Sunday, ya heard?!
