evo Times Infinity Gallery Presents: Shepard Fairey (Obey)

If you've ever been to The War Room in Capitol Hill, then you're more than familiar with the artwork of Shepard Fairey. Or, if you've never been to the venue, then you're sure to have seen the recognizable "Andre the Giant Has a Posse" sticker campaign turned Obey Giant. Tomorrow night, before you hit that annual spot that you may be viewing one of several fireworks in the city and outside of it, hit up the timesinfinity art gallery at evo in Fremont.

What: Obey Giant Shepard Fairey Signed & Numbered Original Prints

In support of SOS Outreach and Fremont First Fridays Art Walk, the timesinfinity gallery at evo will play host to a collection of over 50 original Obey Giant Shepard Fairey prints guaranteed to spark dialogue and emotion. SOS is a national snowsports youth charity that partners with many organizations including ski resorts like the Summit at Snoqualmie, to create a mountain adventure-based program for underserved youth.

Come down before the fireworks for some drinks, art and conversation!

Where: evo Seattle - 122 NW 36th St. Seattle, WA 98107

When: Friday, July 4th from 7 to 9:30pm (if you can't make it, we're hosting another SOS fundraising party on July 19th)

*Because this is part of a private collection, art pieces will not be for sale nor will Shepard Fairey be in attendance.

*For more information about the SOS Outreach event and how to find out how you can donate please visit SOSoutreach.org

Chop Suey SOLD to Japanese Company!

img src Eagle Rock Ventures, musicentropy

Homegirl Katelyn brought to attention of Chop Suey being sold (via MTK). Word is spreadin fast and from what I hear, a press release of the purchase is in the works, or at the least, should be! This is some big news and will be interesting to see how this all develops. Who could this unnamed Japanese company be? Hmm... Like I said, word is spreadin quickly.

J. Pinder for President

The Bear Party is ridin for J. Pinder!

Young Buck - You Don't Know Me (The Taped Conversation)

I'm sure that everyone has heard the taped conversation between Young Buck and 50 Cent within the past 24-48 hours where the big sis (nuna), Miss Info first broke the news. With the release of the tapes, you knew that Buck had to retaliate. He does so in a track called You Don't Know Me or The Taped Conversation aka the 50 Cent diss. Thanks to Raindrop Hustla bringin to light that the beat that Buck rides over was produced by Seattle's own Black & Brown Inc. of Sportn' Life Records. In the words of Nphared, Young Buck is "not afraid to fcuk with Seattle producers." Great look for the town. Click here to listen and be sure to stop by Black & Brown's MySpace as well as Sportn' Life's.
