SOTA presents The ‘Hank Moody’ EP, a collection of three songs [most of which] were written and recorded while living at a studio in Santa Monica in September. The past few months have been eye-opening to say the least, and we are working on some truly incredible music. We wanted to drop you something in the meantime that feels very specific to that period of time for us and represents the hopes and desires of life in L.A. despite the dirtier reality the city brings to the table. In the end, we remain Californicated. We are Hank Moody.

Massive Monkees provided the visual while Jimmy Conrad of the Kansas City Wizards faced off against Fredy Montero of the Seattle Sounders in Guitar Hero. They rocked out to Michael Jackson's (RIP) classic song "Beat It".

As many of you may know, over the past few months we've tragically lost some great DJs. Rest in Peace to the great Super Rockin' Mr. Magic, Grandmaster Roc Raida and DJ AM. We humbly approached a veteran 1200 Squad DJ, that in addition to knowing AM well, also possessed the skill set necessary to pay homage to these Mixers through a mixture of good hip-hop and other sounds that'll make you move.
We welcome back DJ Scene to Cornerstone Mixtape #121 with the "Behind The Scene" Mixtape! We're also bringing on board a young lady that is making moves with Scene on the airwaves out of the Bay. We welcome Nessa (who can be heard on KYLD, Wild 94.9 running the night shows with J.Espinosa as well as Scene). Be on the lookout for Nessa, as this hungry yet humble individual, is the epitome of a 1200 Squad DJ: hard work, dedication and relentless grind on and off the radio.

Deli Seattle Online Store Launch Party
During 1st Thursdays Deli always has a party and tomorrow (11.05.2009) is a bit more special as they celebrate the launch of their online store as well as a new line of t-shirts in collaboration with artists from the past, present and future. Details below.
On November 5th, 2009 DELI will launch shopdeliseattle.com, its new online store featuring the release of the “DELI Art Series,” a collaboration of t-shirts created by each of DELI’s featured artist from the past, present, and future. Each t-shirt will feature one design selectively chosen by the artist along with a custom hangtag displaying their bio information.
DELI’s featured artist include Brad Strain, Adrien Miller, Joe Vollan, John Osgood, Kyle Kesterson, Kim McCarthy, Michelle Anderst, & Bobbi Eperson just to name a few.
“The number one goal for the DELI Art Series is to promote the work of our local artist and give customers the ability to own a t-shirt that is more than just a design…It is a piece of art!”
